STUDIO : DRAWING
/ PAINTING FROM LIFE
Dates: Mon., Tues., and Wed. on the third week of every month
Time: 6 - 9 pm all three nights
Cost: $10 per day pre-registration / $15 per day walk-in
This event is open to both student and professional
artists. The purpose is to provide a setting for artists to
work from a model. The format will be a long pose to give
artists an opportunity to complete a work of art
from life. |

Regarding Photographs:
Artists may take a few photos from the vantage point of where they
are working. The photos are to be used for reference only, to assist
in completing the work. Reserve

STUDIO
CLASSES
Group or Private Instruction.
Classes are conducted one day per week on a day that is
convenient for you. Each session is 3 hours long for a total of
12 hours of instruction per month.
Dates and Time:
Week Days, Monday. thru Friday: 6 - 9 pm and Saturday: 9
am - 12 pm
BASIC DRAWING Students
will learn fundamental drawing skills using pencil and charcoal.
Concepts will include reproducing simple shapes, working with light
and shadow to show depth, applying basic principles of composition
and perspective to create realistic work.
OIL PAINTING (Beginner)
Students will learn how to paint with oils, including application
of paint to canvas, use of tools, stretching canvases, color mixing,
value structures, creating color charts, composition, use of mediums,
and varnishing finished work.
OIL PAINTING (Continuing
Student) Students
will apply the fundamentals of painting including value, color,
edges, composition, and design. Painting will consist of still life,
landscapes, portrait, and figure study. Students will paint from
life using both wet in wet and glazing techniques. For
